Could JLo’s future include a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)? If it’s up to She-Hulk: Attorney at Law director Kat Coiro, the answer is an astounding, “Yes!”

During a recent interview with journalist Tara Hitchcock on her YouTube show Tara on TV, Coiro, who worked with Lopez on the 2022 romantic comedy Marry Me, revealed that Lopez is someone she would like to see join in for some superhero fun on the big stage.

“My dream is to bring J.Lo into the MCU, so put that out there,” Corio said.

In a separate interview with the Hindustan Times, Corio said that when it comes to casting for such a high-level project, “one of the brilliant things about working for Marvel is that you get any actor you want.”

So, if Coiro really wants Lopez to join the MCU, could it really happen? Perhaps. When it comes to casting in Marvel, decisions can really run the gamut – from choosing an unknown actor like Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) or Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel) to lead a film or TV series to landing someone as well-known as Christian Bale (Thor: Love and Thunder) to play a villain.

In 2019, during her press tour for Hustlers, Lopez mentioned during an interview with Variety how difficult it is to make movies these days unless it has superheroes in them.

“It has to be a Marvel comic or some crazy big franchise thing,” she said.

In the past, Coiro said that JLo had “the energy and stamina of one hundred mere mortals.” We’re guessing that’s also the equivalent of one powerful superhero.
