The Emilia Pérez parody Johanne Sacreblu hasn’t just taken Latin America by storm — it now has official merchandise you can buy to support it.

Camila Aurora, the Mexican trans woman behind the viral parody announced the news on her Instagram and TikTok, with pictures of the t-shirts, which feature flying baguettes and croissants, with the Eiffel Tower in the center of the two star-crossed lovers from the parody. It’s a partnership with Máscara De Látex, a Mexican clothing brand. They are priced at $299 Mexican pesos.

Fifty percent of the profits from the merchandise, Aurora confirmed, will go to organizations that support the families of those missing in Mexico as well as endangered groups. And they plan to work with other artists to release more merchandise. You can reach out to them via their contact Ita if you want to help or submit your work. Artists will receive a percentage of all sales.

Emilia Pérez stars Spanish actress Karla Sofía Gascón, who made history as the first out trans performer ever to be nominated for an Oscar. The movie, however, has been heavily criticized by Mexicans and Latine people alike for telling a Mexican story from a Eurocentric lens. Emilia Pérez has also received criticism for telling an inauthentic story about Mexico, trivializing the topic of the “Desaparecidos” or missing due to the cartels in Mexico, and featuring only one Mexican actor (Adriana Paz), in a relatively small role.

Johanne Sacreblu started as a joke by content creator Camila Aurora, but after the idea caught fire on social media, Aurora and screenwriter Héctor Guillén set out to make it happen. Johanne Sacreblu tells the story of a trans woman, the heiress to the biggest baguette producer in France, who falls in love with Agtugo Ratatouille, a trans man who just so happens to be the heir to the biggest croissant producer in France.

Just like in Romeo and Juliet, however, the families are bitter rivals and it’s up to Johanne and Agtugo to try to bring their families together—and fix racism, of course.

The parody, which was posted a January 25 on Youtube, has reached almost 2 million views, with the caption reading: “The project you have been waiting for is ready.”

All the songs in the short film are original, and Aurora plans to release them on Spotify.
