Rosalía is stepping into the Euphoria universe. The Spanish pop star appears in the trailer for the upcoming third season of the HBO Max series. Alexa Demie and Colman Domingo are also spotted returning to their iconic roles.

After a long wait, Euphoria is coming back for its third season. The second season of the psychological drama wrapped in February 2022. And in the five year jump taking place in the upcoming third season, there were a few cuts to the cast made, including the departure of Barbie Ferreira

The new trailer shows Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney returning. Demie is also back to bring the Latine representation as Madeleine “Maddy” Perez alongside Domingo as Ali Muhammed. For her part, it looks like Maddy is still as glamorous as ever while seemingly talking to Rue about how she knows plenty of women that are sugar babies. For Ali, he’s seen in a diner counseling someone about how it’s a new chapter and “you gotta have faith.”

The third season of Euphoria will also mark the acting debut of Rosalía. Before then, she had limited her acting roles to cameos, including appearing in Pedro Almodóvar’s 2019 film Pain and Glory. Rosalía was previously involved with Euphoria when she recorded “Lo Vas a Olvidar” with Billie Eilish for the first season’s soundtrack. Now she is joining the cast in a role that she has kept under wraps. From the looks of the trailer, Rosalía’s character is a stripper as she is shown dancing on a pole with a bedazzled neck brace on at the Silver Slipper.

The third season of Euphoria will start streaming on HBO Max on April 12. Rosalía’s upcoming acting debut comes on the heels of her most recent album Lux, which she released in November. The LP includes the song “La Perla,” which her fans have seen as a diss track towards her ex-fiancé Rauw Alejandro.
