Former Trump Advisor Calls Ariana Grande ‘Obviously Hispanic’ While Accusing ‘Wicked’ of Being Racist

Former Trump advisor and MAGA personality Gina Loudon has sparked outrage—and a healthy dose of disbelief—after recent comments over the musical adaptation of Wicked and Ariana Grande, which has broken records to become the highest-grossing musical movie ever. During a recent episode of her show, Dr. Gina Prime Time, Loudon attempted to explain her issues with the musical, she just got her facts wrong.
“They have Ariana Grande, who is obviously a Hispanic woman, playing the part of a ditzy, blonde, white, really villain when it comes right down to it for this particular movie,” Loudon said, going on to accuse the film of being racist. “It’s Holly-weird – I should have known they would try to make it woke,” she added.
Grande is not Hispanic, but is instead of Italian descent and has identified as Italian-American before.
“The racism and the racial appropriation I just thought was offensive, frankly,” Loudon also said. “All white people aren’t dumb and evil, and I just get kind of sick of that storyline and I feel like that’s where it started, and it kind of lost me there and it was three hours long.”

Social media, predictably, wasn’t having it, with some pointing out what this could lead to:
“MAGA going back to old-old racism, calling Italians Hispanics, they gon be calling the Irish black soon.”

While others just pointed out that Loudon had no idea what Hispanic meant, saying “its just funny because ari isn’t hispanic but if she was.. she could still be white… does gina loudon know what hispanic means?”
While others were just having fun hailing Grande as a Hispanic Queen

Loudon was a member of President-Elect Donald Trump’s campaign’s media advisory board in 2020. She was also the co-chair of Women for Trump 2020.
