It looks like disgraced former Congressman George Santos isn’t a fan of the idea of HBO making a movie about his life. According to TMZ, Santos described the movie as a “fictitious story” and is upset that filmmakers did not speak to him or get permission to go into production.

“F— them and their chicken s— deal with no inside information or reality of facts,” Santos allegedly said, although we have to point out that TMZ didn’t capture these words on video like they usually do with exclusive content.

Santos is also unhappy for the same reason with author Mark Chiusano for writing the book The Fabulist: The Lying, Hustling, Grifting, Stealing, and Very American Legend of George Santos, from which the Santos biopic will be adapted.

TMZ did speak to Chiusano on camera. The author revealed how much research he did on the book. He spent time in Queens where Santos was born and spoke to people who knew him, including former teachers. He also traveled to Brazil to talk to people who knew him when he was a drag performer and allegedly also participating in a beauty contest.

Chiusano said he did call Santos “many times” and “tried to speak to him,” but said that Santos wasn’t interested in cooperating. “He did pick up the phone and chat with me and kind of threatened me for a while,” Chiusano said. “I spoke to over 100 people for this project. I’m very comfortable with the portrayal I did.”

TMZ reports that Santos is not concerned with the HBO movie because he’s working on his own project about his life. Based on the many lies Santos has told in the past, we can probably assume whatever narrative he comes up with will fall under the fantasy genre. But if he needs any actors to play him, the internet already picked their top contenders
