If you live in Los Angeles and you want to experience Frankenstein up close, or at least get a better idea of what it was like being on the set of Guillermo Del Toro’s movie, you’re in luck. The exhibit Frankenstein: Crafting a Tale Eternal is now available at the NYA Studios West in Hollywood. Even better, it will be free and open to the public until January 11.

The exhibit was previously available for a limited time in London.

The immersive exhibit is set to celebrate del Toro’s storytelling, as well as the craftsmanship of the team behind Frankenstein. To do so, it is set to showcase a collection of props, artwork, costumes, and jewelry featured in the film, as well as rare books meant to honor author Mary Shelley’s legacy.

Frankenstein was recently shortlisted in six Oscar crafts categories, every single one for which it was eligible.

“We have been anticipating bringing this exhibition from London to Los Angeles. I believe it to be revelatory,” del Toro told Deadline. “With Frankenstein, we wanted to test the limits of every craft in movie-making — handmade sets, miniatures, wardrobe and cinematography, just to name a few — and this exhibit is a celebration of those traditions. It is an honor to invite everyone to take a closer look at how our crafts team and I have meticulously and exhaustively labored to bring Mary Shelley’s world to life in what we hope is an eloquent, operatic way.”

Tickets for Frankenstein: Crafting a Tale Eternal are available on EventBrite.
