UPDATE (1/9/23): The HFPA has announced the second group of presenters for its 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony, which takes place tomorrow night (January 10). The list includes Jenna Ortega, Salma Hayek and Harvey Guillén. Ortega was expected to be at the event already since she is nominated for her lead role in the Netflix series Wednesday.

On Tuesday (January 3), the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) announced the first round of presenters for the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards aka the 2023 Golden Globes.

“We’re thrilled to announce the first group of presenters for this year’s Golden Globe Awards!” the official Golden Globes Twitter account posted.

Included on the roster were Ana de Armas (Blonde), Michaela Jaé Rodriguez (Pose), and Colman Domingo (Candyman). According to Variety, Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) is also expected to attend the ceremony as a nominee.

In 2021, the HFPA faced backlash after it was revealed that there were no Black members in its organization. The HFPA attempted to make reforms, but NBC ultimately chose not to broadcast the ceremony last year. It has since returned this year.

Along with her role as a presenter, de Armas has been nominated for the second Best Actress Golden Globe of her career for her role as film icon Marilyn Monroe in director Andrew Dominik’s biopic Blonde. In 2020, she was nominated in the Best Actress – Comedy or Musical category for her role in Knives Out.

Other Latine Golden Globe nominees this year are Diego Luna (Andor); Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building); Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus); Anya Taylor-Joy (The Menu); Diego Calva (Babylon); and Guillermo del Toro, who landed a pair of noms (Best Animated Film and Best Song) for Pinocchio.

Comedian Jerrod Carmichael (The Carmichael Show) is hosting the ceremony this year. Actor and comedian Eddie Murphy (Dreamgirls) will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and producer Ryan Murphy (Pose) will receive the Carol Burnett Award.

The 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards broadcast live on January 10, 2023, on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. The ceremony will also stream on Peacock.
