Many fans of comedy and television are well aware of the hit series Impractical Jokers and one of the show’s most beloved members, Sal Vulcano. But what many may not know is that the comedian has been making a name for himself in the stand-up world with various tours and shows. Also the fact that he’s Italian, Puerto Rican, and Cuban.
Outside of the world of Impractical Jokers Vulcano’s life has always had comedy stitched in, with him and his close friends forming a sketch comedy group before eventually becoming the Impractical Jokers. Now, the Staten Island native is bringing his skills to the small screen with a brand new comedy special called Sal Vulcano: Terrified.
With much of Vulcano’s fame coming from television, the decision to finally bring a special to the masses via streaming feels like a no-brainer. But in reality, the timing couldn’t be better because he’s now brought decades of experience to a comedy act that was already top-tier. As a result, fans are getting the best of what he has to offer.
Following a similar trope of comedians, Terrified will explore stories from Vulcano’s childhood, which is sure to bring both surprising and relatable laughs. Also, as the trailer to his special shows, there will be a very personable and relaxed feeling to this show, which also calls back to his Hey Babe! Podcast that he hosts alongside fellow comedian Chris Distefano.
This same podcast was also where Vulcano explained his Puerto Rican and Cuban backgrounds during an irreverent but hilarious game of FMK while also talking about the rules of a Cuban sandwich and where his grandparents are from.
All in all, Terrified is sure to bring even more fans to the world of Sal Vulcano and also offer up some great moments that will leave viewers in stitches.
Sal Vulcano: Terrified will be available free to stream on YouTube on May 31st at 11 AM EST on the 800 Pound Gorilla Media YouTube channel.
