There’s nothing creepy or spooky about the new Wednesday Addams Funko Pop! collectible. If anything, it’s adorable.
The vinyl figure won’t be available until June 2023, but you can pre-order the toy today. As popular as the Netflix series Wednesday is, we’ll guess that it’s going to sell out fast.
Take a close look at the Funko Pop! and the toy company did a great job at capturing all the details of the character played by Jenna Ortega. The Wednesday figure features her with a pair of pigtails and bangs and tiny little freckles above her nose – just like Ortega.
Wednesday is dressed in her black and gray Nevermore Academy uniform with a crest and is wearing black boots. It doesn’t look like she has a mouth, which makes sense since Wednesday doesn’t smile that much. Something else about the collectible that is similar to Ortega’s TV character is that neither of them blinks.
There are other versions of Funko Pop! Wednesday, too. A second figure is the same as the one you can pre-order, except Wednesday’s school uniform looks metallic. The third one features Wednesday sitting down and playing the cello.
Earlier this month, Netflix made Wednesday fans dance the “Goo Goo Muck” when they officially announced the series would be returning for a second season.
“It’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world,” said series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. “Thrilled to continue Wednesday’s tortuous journey into season two. We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky spooky world of Nevermore. Just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”
