Here Are the Latine Nominations for the 2025 Golden Globes

The Golden Globes nominations are here, and there are quite a few names from our communities on the list. From The Bear and La Máquina to Sing Sing, many performances from our communities got recognition this time. In fact, there are enough that we even get more than one in the same category! We never want to have to root against each other, but we’ll take it if it means more of our own are nominated.

Want to know who all the Latinos nominated were and in what categories? We’re breaking it down for you.

Liza Colón-Zayas got a nomination for The Bear in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Television category. This is her first Golden Globe nomination. She previously won an Emmy for her role as Tina Marrero in the show. Meanwhile, Diego Luna was nominated for La Máquina in the category of Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television. Two for two there.

Selena Gomez, on the other hand, got her first of two nominations in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy category for her role in Only Murders in the Building. Gomez was also nominated in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture alongside Zoe Saldaña, both for the movie Emilia Pérez

Sofía Vergara also got her nomination, for Griselda, in the category of Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television. 

Also, Colman Domingo was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama for Sing Sing, and Fernanda Torres was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama category for I’m Still Here.

Though he didn’t get a nomination himself, Alien: Romulus, directed by Fede Álvarez got nominated in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category, while Moana 2, starring Auliʻi Cravalho and The Wild Robot, starring Lupita Nyong’o and Pedro Pascal got nominations in the Best Motion Picture – Animated category. In addition, True Detective: Night Country, whose showrunner/creator/writer/director/executive producer is Issa López, received a nomination for Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. 

The Golden Globes will air live on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.
