Liza Colón-Zayas keeps racking up nominations. The actress, who already has not just an Emmy nomination but a win for her role as Tina Marrero in The Bear, is now adding a Golden Globe Nomination to her list of accolades. The Afro-Latina actress received the first Golden Globe nomination of her career in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role on Television category.

Joining her in the category are Hannah Einbinder from Hacks, Dakota Fanning from Ripley, Jessica Gunning from Baby Reindeer, Allison Janney from The Diplomat, and Kali Reis from True Detective: Night Country

Unlike the Emmys, where Colón-Zayas’s win was for her work during The Bear Season 2, the Golden Globes are for her work during the show’s Season 3, which includes her breakout episode, “Napkins,” which examines Tina’s backstory.

The amount of love online was once again, immense, from people admitting they got a little emotional.

“Cried a little when Liza Colón-Zayas was announced as a Golden Globe nominee. That’s our tía for real”

Over on Blue Sky, they were also showing her love and saying, “Liza Colón-Zayas got her first Golden Globe nom today I’m 😭”

The Golden Globes will air live on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.
