Marvel Comics hero Moon Knight is one of the latest superhero shows streaming and fans are loving it. Oscar Isaac brings the titular role to life in a pulse-pounding miniseries that takes Marvel fans deep into his character’s story in Moon Knight.
Isaac has been on a publicity tour for the show and recently sat down with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to discuss the project, but things went a different direction. While discussing the show, Isaac turned the conversation to an adventure he had with Ethan Hawke during a break from filming.
“We danced with God,” Isaac told Colbert when he asked about a fun night he had with Hawke. “It was my brother and Ethan. We were in a house and our families had just left and we had the weekend there. It was at a place called Lake Balaton, which is outside of Budapest. So beautiful.”
Isaac added: “We got our hands on a little psilocybin. Magic mushrooms. We had some mushrooms and listened to the Phosphorescent album. We laid down and giggled for a long time listening to music and then went to a park and played some football a little bit.”
Colbert and Oscar Isaac bantered about the legality of magic mushrooms for a little bit and shared a few laughs.
When asked how God enjoyed the dancing, Isaac jokingly said, “He wasn’t into it.”
