Contrary to popular belief, no news isn’t always good news. At least that’s true when we’re talking about a potential second season of Moon Knight on Disney+ and more Oscar Isaac.

In early August, fans felt good about a season two happening when the daughter of Moon Knight director Mohamed Diab posted a TikTok video from Cairo, Egypt, where she asked her father and lead actor Isaac if there would be a second season. Isaac’s response: “Why else would we be in Cairo?”

For some fans, that was all they needed to hear as confirmation that the Moon Knight narrative would continue. The truth is, however, that wasn’t the case – at least not yet. During a recent interview with Collider, when journalist Steve Weintraub tells Isaac that he feels “teased” about a possible season two and wants him to “definitively say” it is happening, Isaac just couldn’t do it.

“We can’t definitively say that,” Isaac said. “I need my teasing abilities. Can’t drain me of those. What a cock tease I am. Always been.”

Although he wouldn’t confirm anything about the series, Isaac said that he did “hope” they would return for season two. “We’ll see what happens,” he said. “But at the moment, there’s no official word.”

So, there you have it. No confirmation on a Moon Knight season two, but confirmation that Isaac, at least for now, plans to lay low for a while.

“There’s nothing in the works,” Oscar Isaac said. “Moon Knight was so amazing, but also so incredibly draining. I just put every bit of myself into that. So, at the moment, I’m going to do a play next year and then we’ll see what happens after that.”

And so, the teasing continues.
