The American Museum of Natural History in New York is now home to a new Hayden Planetarium Space Show called Encounters in the Milky Way, featuring the voice of the beloved Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal.

“Narrated by actor Pedro Pascal, Encounters in the Milky Way reaches billions of years into the past and peers millions of years into the future for a time-traveling journey about the cosmic movements that shape our galactic neighborhood, including the paths of stars, comets, interstellar debris, and visually stunning gas and dust clouds,” the museum’s YouTube platform reads

In the video announcement, Pascal says, “We are a product of cosmic encounters. And what’s happening in the Milky Way Galaxy is happening throughout our galactic neighborhood and across the universe. I’m Pedro Pascal. Join me on a journey through our tight-knit stellar neighborhood into the bustling metropolis of the Milky Way.”

Encounters in the Milky Way came to life thanks to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Per the museum’s official website, the show was “developed by a team that includes astronomers, science visualization experts, and artists,” with data from the European Space Agency’s Gaia mission. The museum’s YouTube comment section also thanks Van Cleef & Arpels, and acknowledges the support of Robert and Kristin Peck.

Beyond this new project, Pascal has been busy all year long. From wrapping up his last season of The Last of Us to promoting his recent movies, Materialists (June 13), and Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 29), the prolific actor has been in multiple press cycles all year long. He also recently revealed another film project called Eddington with Joaquin Phoenix, out in theaters on July 18.

Check out the American Museum of Natural History’s official website for more information regarding Encounters in the Milky Way.
