May 4 (aka May the Fourth) came with many reasons to celebrate. On a day that’s become now synonymous with celebrating all things Star Wars, Robert Rodriguez took to Twitter to officially announce that he would be directing season 2 of Disney+’s The Mandalorian.

The Mexican American director, who’s behind great films as Spy Kids, Machete, and Sin City, shared the news by posting a photo alongside one of today’s biggest stars…yes, Baby Yoda. “I am truly humbled to say I now have had the very rare privilege of directing the biggest star in the universe,” he tweeted.

Rodriguez will be joining returning actor Pedro Pascal and Rosario Dawson, who’s been tapped to play Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi padawan apprentice, on season 2 of the live action series. According to Slash Film, who debuted the news, the “character was previously only seen in the Star Wars animated productions, in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. This would be the character’s first appearance in live-action.”

Coincidentally, a fan shared his hope for Dawson to play such character back in 2017, to which she responded with, “Ummmm… yes please?!”
