Oscar nominee Salma Hayek (Frida) and Oscar winner Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables) are teaming up on the buddy comedy of sorts in Seesaw Monster. “Bask in the power of that Hathaway-Hayek alliance,” writes Netflix in an official release.

The film will be adapted from the novel by Japanese author Kōtarō Isaka, who is best known for writing Maria Beetle. That book was adapted into this year’s action-comedy Bullet Train starring Brad Pitt and Bad Bunny. Seesaw Monster’s script will be written by Olivia Milch (Ocean’s 8).

Although plot details are currently unknown, Netflix is describing Seesaw Monster as a film about “frenemies” or “rivals forced to work together for the greater good.” According to Deadline, Hayek and Hathaway will serve as co-producers of the film.

Hayek has been in the headlines a lot this year. The first-look photo of her and Channing Tatum recently dropped for the sequel Magic Mike’s Last Dance. Hayek joined the production to replace actress Thandiwe Newton (Solo: A Star Wars Story) who dropped out to “deal with family matters.”

She was also recently cast alongside Oscar nominee Demián Bichir (A Better Life) in the drama Without Blood, which will be directed by Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie (Unbroken), and in the sixth season of Black Mirror.

Her next film to hit the big screen is Puss in Boots: The Last Wish where she will reprise her role as the animated Kitty Softpaws, a savvy feline, and the title character’s feline love interest.
