If you’re a fan of the Disney animated film Encanto, you probably know that “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” but we can definitely have a conversation about Josué Luciano’s Encanto-inspired cakes.

The cake decorator, who is currently based in Pittsburgh, shows off his talents with piping bags and a whole lot of talent. In a recent video he posted on TikTok, Luciano creates a cake inspired by one of the characters from Encanto, Isabela Madrigal, who has the power to make flowers bloom anywhere she wants.

Luciano’s cake includes purple, pink, and light blue flowers and colorful plants and cacti. It’s almost like Isabela, herself, created it with her superpowers.

Another cake Luciano decorates is one inspired by the main character of Encanto, Mirabel Madrigal, who is the only member of the Madrigal family not gifted with a superpower. For this cake, Luciano decorates it with butterfly imagery, a metaphor for Mirabel’s potential to break out of her cocoon and become something great.

Luciano also has a cake inspired by another Madrigal sister, who is gifted with enhanced hearing abilities. Her cake features colorful symbols depicting soundwaves.

Other pop culture references Luciano has used to create his cakes include Pokémon, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and many others.

“I love my job, so my main goal is to become one of the best cake decorators out there and keep sharing my art,” Luciano told nerdbot.com. “Thanks to the ‘inspired by’ cakes, I’ve gotten the chance to connect with many drag queens [and] drag, superhero and Pokémon fans from all over the world, which has been pretty exciting.”
