In an ongoing collaboration between Spotify and Netflix, a refreshed content destination for La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) was launched on Thursday (November 18) in select markets to celebrate the upcoming final episodes of the popular series.

Spotify gave listeners across the globe access to the new digital experience, which includes a quiz that participants can take to find out “their perfect La Banda character and soundtrack match.” Examples of the matches are Professor’s Bunker Beats, Denver’s Love & War Mixtape, Marseille’s Escape Tracks, Rio’s Hacking Jams, and Tokyo’s Party Mix.

According to Spotify, there are more than 68,000 user-generated playlists related to La Casa De Papel on its platform, along with 93,000 user-generated playlists related to “Bella Ciao,” an Italian protest song from the 19th century that was made popular on the series. Since the debut of the show in 2017, several artists have covered or released remixes of the song, including Brazilian musician and DJ Alok, Spanish punk rock band Boikot, and a collaboration between Marc Ribot and Tom Waits.

The top three most-streamed songs on the official playlist for the series are “Bella Ciao” by Spanish singer Manu Pilas, “My Life Is Going On” by Spanish singer Cecilia Krull, and “Bamboo Moon” by English musician Chris Constantinou.

Remixing “Bella Ciao” has become such a global phenomenon, several countries have joined the fun by redoing the song in their own language, including musicians from Germany, India, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Thailand, China, and Italy, among many others.
