Canela TV

Canela.TV is showcasing Latina excellence to children in a new way. In alignment with International Women’s History Month, the free streaming service’s new educational series SúperEllas aims to engage younger audiences by sharing inspiring stories about Latina icons like actress Sofía Vergara, award-winning journalist and author María Elena Salinas, fashion designer Carolina Herrera, and golfer Lizette Salas.

“Las SúperEllas is back! 🌟💜 Discover a new episode every Thursday during the month of March and meet more Latina women who changed the world 💪🌎💜,” the streaming service announced online in Spanish.

SúperEllas is described as a “fun and accessible way to introduce young audiences to the stories of trailblazing Latinas.” What makes this series different from others is that they showcase real-life icons, in hopes of making their impact feel “inspiring and relatable.” Not only that, but it’s a new series to help Gen Z and Millennial parents educate their little loved ones on important towering figures that helped shape different industries on a global scale.

Previous episodes have highlighted the work of Colombian pop star Shakira, Mexican-American actress and businesswoman Eva Longoria, Mexican-American politician Rosario Marin, and gold medal-winning Mexican flag football player Diana Flores. More episodes include stories on Jennifer Lopez, Zoe Saldaña, Rita Moreno, Isabel Allende, and Selena Quintanilla, to name more greats.

Canela.TV is available for free for all subscribers. It is available in the U.S., Mexico, and Spanish language regions in Latin America. For more information on how to get Canela.TV, visit their official website
