Bad Bunny represented our communities at the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live yesterday (February 14). The Puerto Rican icon sang his hits to celebrate the comedy show’s milestone – but that wasn’t all he did to celebrate the iconic show’s milestone.
“We need to appreciate more every second that we’re here and love as much as you can, this is a special night so I hold it in my heart with all of you and everyone,” the singer said in both English and Spanish during his performance. El Conejo Malo sang his two hits “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” and “DtMF,” in front of the stage, representing our Latine community’s language and Puerto Rican’s traditional music on a national stage.
But that wasn’t all he did on stage. Not only did the icon sing his hits from DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, he also joined T-Pain and Lady Gaga on a musical skit. The three singers sang a dramatic rendition of The Lonely Island’s “I Just Had Sex,” lending their vocals to an orchestral performance of other The Lonely Island Classics like “Jack Sparrow” and “D**k in a Box.” And yes, the original trio’s members like Andy Samberg were present as well.
Fans were thrilled about Benito’s performance. An X user wrote: “Bad Bunny, T-Pain, Lady Gaga I can’t stop laughing 😂.” Another X user commented: “Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of my favorite gringo comedy show: SNL. The show was filled with names from the past. The stage was huge, everyone who passed through the show was invited. Oh and Bad Bunny sang salsa with a whole orchestra.”

Bad Bunny has been active this week. Besides being part of this epic anniversary show, he also dropped the music video for “TURiSTA.” The new music video portrayed a behind-the-scenes look at what cleaning crews have to deal with after a celebration in a foreign house.
Up next, Benito is scheduled to perform at his historical residency in Puerto Rico.
