Comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias is back for a brand-new Netflix special and making history along the way.

In his upcoming special Stadium Fluffy, Iglesias becomes the first standup comedian to ever perform at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles. The special was recorded this past May. At the time, Iglesias said in a statement that he was “humbled, honored and grateful for the love shown to me from the fans and city of Los Angeles.”

In summer 2021, Iglesias was supposed to film his special during a month-long residency in San Antonio. However, at the tail end of the series, he had to cancel the remainder of his shows when he tested positive for COVID-19.

Now healthy, back on the road, and ready for some laughs and a live audience, Iglesias takes center stage for Stadium Fluffy where he talks about his pandemic experience, the controversy he started on Twitter by defending Speedy Gonzales, cancel culture, his love for his chihuahuas, going trick-or-treating with his son Frankie when he was younger, and a host of other topics. Iglesias also shows his vulnerable side when he discusses his 2020 breakup with his longtime partner.

In the first official trailer for the comedy special, Iglesias describes to his 50,000 fans in the arena what it’s like to perform at Dodger Stadium. The experience, he said, is like a “birthday, Christmas, the World Series, and losing my virginity all at the same time.”

Iglesias also talks about the short span of his life when he decided to become a vegan for health reasons. “Anyone who goes on a diet knows how hard it is to change your eating habits,” he said. “I lost weight…patience and friends.”

Look for Gabriel Iglesias to hit a home run when Stadium Fluffy premieres on Netflix on October 18.
