On Monday (January 16), during a stop on the TODAY Show to promote her upcoming romantic comedy Shotgun Wedding with co-star Josh Duhamel, Jennifer Lopez talked about how her 14-year-old twins, Emme and Max, are big fans of her movies.

“They watched Maid in Manhattan and The Wedding Planner, funnily enough,” Lopez said. “They haven’t gotten into … Out of Sight.”

Her kids have also seen the 1997 biopic Selena, which tells the story of the late Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla. When they watched it for the first time, however, Lopez didn’t realize that neither of them knew how it ended.

“It was kind of sweet because I don’t think they realized that she passed away,” Lopez said. “So, at the end of the movie, they were like, ‘No!’”

In Lopez’s new film, which was partly shot in the Dominican Republic, Lopez and Duhamel play Darcy and Tom, a couple whose destination wedding goes awry after a group of armed pirates take their wedding guests hostage. Lopez said she tapped into her “Lucille Ball-type comedy” for the role.

Lopez also talked a bit about her husband, Ben Affleck. Duhamel joked that he’s probably been in love with him longer than Lopez. “I bet you have,” she said chuckling.

Last week, Lopez and Affleck went viral when they were spotted at a Boston-area Dunkin’ (formerly Dunkin’ Donuts) apparently shooting a commercial for the popular coffee and donut chain. Some people suggested it was a commercial that would air during the Super Bowl. When asked to confirm it by blinking her eyes, Lopez didn’t take the bait.

“Stop it,” Lopez said, pointing to the camera and laughing. “Stop trying to zoom in on my blinks.”

Shotgun Wedding premieres on Prime Video on January 27.
