Early last year, actress Lali Espósito revealed that Rauw Alejandro would be appearing in the third and final season of Netflix’s dark dramedy Sky Rojo. Now, the first clip of the “Te felicito” singer in the Spanish series has hit online and fans are ready to see more.
For those who haven’t seen the first two seasons, Sky Rojo follows three women, Coral (Verónica Sánchez), Wendy (Lali Espósito), and Gina (Yany Prado), who are trying to escape the world of prostitution and their controlling pimp, Romeo (Asier Etxeandia).
Season 3 takes place six months after the last season. From the Netflix logline: “Coral, Wendy and Gina discover that peace is nothing more than that deceptive feeling between periods of terror. When their new life is blown to pieces, the girls understand that the past always returns and that if they ever really want to be free, they’ll have to bury it. Or bury Romeo – same difference.”
In the preview, Alejandro plays a Good Samaritan named Diego, who is driving in the countryside when he is flagged down by Wendy (Espósito) and Greta (Catalina Sopelana), who is carrying a baby. It seems like Greta has hurt her ankle and needs ice. Her baby also needs a diaper change.
So, Wendy and Greta ask Diego if it would be OK if they gave them a ride to his house. Diego tells them that it would be fine, but if she’s really in pain, he could also drive them to the hospital.
We’re not sure how exactly this encounter will ultimately turn out for Rauw Alejandro, but we’ll be waiting to binge-watch Sky Rojo Season 3 when it premieres on Netflix on January 13, 2023.
