DANCING WITH THE STARS – “Finale” – Once again, the finale episode will have five couples competing for a chance at winning the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. Dancing with the Stars Season 32 winner Xochitl Gomez returns to the show for the Season 33 finale. The Marvel star wasn’t just there to present the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy to new winners Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson, but she was also there to perform alongside pro partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
The two performed to “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan while dressed in matching light pink, and it seemed like they hadn’t missed a beat despite the fact that they hadn’t competed together in a year. It wasn’t just the chemistry the two always had while dancing, it was that they had fun together. There were, of course, no scores, but the judges seemed to love it and so did the audience.
“I graduated high school, I turned 18, I was on the [DWTS] tour, I’ve been designing some clothing,” Gomez said in her intro video about what she’s been up to since her win. “I bought a car, but I don’t know how to drive. And that’s about it.”
“This performance means so much to me just because I want to be able to showcase Val and I’s partnership and the time I had on Dancing With the Stars,” Gomez also says in the clip. “It kind of symbolizes the ending of my season. I’m no longer the reigning champion, and now that’s someone else’s journey. I will always be there for my Dancing with the Stars family — that’s what I’m most grateful for.”

Afterward, the two stuck around to watch the rest of the finalists, which included Chmerkovskiy’s wife Jenna Johnson. Both Gomez and Chmerkovskiy were seen jumping up and down as the winners were announced.
Dancing With the Stars didn’t have any celebrities from our communities this season, though it did have a new pro representing us – Ezra Sosa. He was partnered with Anna Delvey. One of the standout moments of the season, however, was Olympic rugby medalist Ilona Maher transforming into Encanto’s Luisa for a dance on Disney Night, so we were still somewhat represented.
