‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Casts Lena Headey — & She’s Not Alone

Wednesday Season 3 is taking shape. Netflix announced today the casting of three actors, who will join the cast for the upcoming season as guest stars. There’s no confirmation about what characters they will be playing just yet.
Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo’s Fire), and James Lance (Ted Lasso) will all appear in Season 3. Production of the third season is currently underway near Dublin, Ireland.
Other new names confirmed for Season 3 of the show include Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children), Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon), Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), and Kennedy Moyer (Task). Green will play Aunt Ophelia, the sister of Morticia.
Returning for the season are Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzmán, among others.
Wednesday was renewed for Season 3 before the show’s second season even premiered. The first season of the show is the most viewed English-language series on Netflix ever. Meanwhile, Season 2 holds the number 5 spot on that list.
About the upcoming season, co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough said, “Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” adding, “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.”
Co-creator and co-showrunner Miles Millar promised, “We will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”
No release date or window has yet been announced for the third season of Wednesday.
