The hosts of the upcoming Drag Race México: Latina Royale have been revealed. Both Lolita Banana and Taiga Brava will step back into the role for the highly-anticipated spin-off!

Back in October, World of Wonder, the production company behind RuPaul’s Drag Race announced the new spin-off Drag Race México: Latina Royale. The special will come on the heels of the successful Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale. At the time, it was left ambiguous as to who would host Latina Royal. Amongst fans, there were some hopes that Valentina, who co-hosted season one of Drag Race México with Lolita Banana, would return.

Taiga Brava, who won the second season of Queen of the Universe, took over for Valentina during the second season of Drag Race México. World of Wonder have now confirmed that Taiga and Drag Race France standout Lolita Banana will co-host Drag Race México: Latina Royale. In the announcement post on Instagram, Valentina expressed her support for both hosts by commenting with a Mexican flag and hearts emojis.

Latina Royale will see fan favorites from the first two seasons of Drag Race México compete with other Latina queens from different franchises around the world. World of Wonder confirmed that the spin-off will air in 2026. “World of Wonder is proud to continue spotlighting the many cultures which shape global drag, and celebrate Latin artistry with Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale,” Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, the co-founders of WOW, shared in a statement.

Since we didn’t get a new season of Drag Race México this year, the special El Recuento started streaming on the WOW Presents Plus app on December 10. Lolita Banana breaks down the best moments from the first two seasons of the show as well as airs all 24 previous contestants’ audition tapes.
