The three finalists on ¿Quién es la Máscara? were unmasked last night (December 22) during the season finale. And ultimately, two Mexican telenovelas stars ended up winning the competition depending on which country you were watching the show in.
¿Quién es la Máscara? is the Spanish-language version of The Masked Singer. The reality TV competition aired simultaneously in the U.S. and Mexico. The cast of investigators for season six included ex-RBD star Anahí, Mexican singer Carlos Rivera, social media personality Juanpa Zurita, and Martha Higareda.
The show’s host Omar Chaparro joined the investigators to perform a Spanglish version of “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” in honor of the Christmas season in the finale.
Of the three remaining finalists, Huesito Peligroso came in third place. The superhero puppy character removed the head of their costume to reveal Mexican singer and actress Daniela Luján. She is most known for taking over the lead role on children’s telenovela Cómplices Al Rescate after Belinda parted ways with the show.

If you were watching ¿Quién es la Máscara? in Mexico last night, Freddie Verdury emerged victorious. Inside the Freddie Mercury-inspired carrot costume was Mexican actor Armando Hernández. In addition to appearing on telenovelas like Clase 406 and Rebelde, he is most known for portraying Mexican boxer Julio César Chávez in the 2017 series El César.
The U.S. broadcast of ¿Quién es la Máscara? crowned a different winner. Cacahuate Enchilado won the singing competition in the states. Underneath the peanut head was Mexican actress and TV presenter Galilea Montijo. She previously starred in telenovelas like 2000’s El Precio de Tu Amor and 2006’s La Verdad Oculta. Montijo has since hosted countless TV specials on Univision. As Cacahuate Enchilado, she impressively sang in Korean to PSY’s hit “Gangnam Style.”
Reggaeton Mexa star Yeri Mua made a splash on last week’s semi-finale when she was revealed to be Tutupótama. Other celebrities that competed on the show this season included Marta Sánchez, Marko, Irina Baeva, Samo, Samy Rivers, and Martín Ricca.
