According to Science, Tequila Can Make You Skinny

This has been a big couple of weeks for science. Neil deGrasse Tyson (known to some as the AY SI AY SI guy) debuted his space odyssey show “Cosmos” on Fox; a major Big Bang breakthrough gave us “the first direct evidence for a mysterious, ultrarapid expansion at the dawn of the universe,”; and now, this: Mexican scientists have found that agavins, the natural sugars found in tequila, can help with weight loss and diabetes.

Tests with mice revealed that agavins (derived from the agave plant that also makes tequila) don’t raise blood sugar, and also produced a hormone called GLP-1 that keeps the stomach full longer and produces insulin.
