Becky G Gets Her Own Erewhon Smoothie — & It’s for a Good Cause

Becky G teamed up with upscale Los Angeles supermarket chain Erewhon for something a little sweet. The “La Nena” singer has released her own organic smoothie, a product famous at Erewhon stores because of its tasty flavors and its steep price. At $22, the Strawberry Probiotic is Erewhon’s most expensive smoothie on its menu.

Becky G’s smoothie is her take on the horchata. “We officially got a brown girl [Erewhon] smoothieee,” Becky G wrote on social media. “It’s been so much fun crafting the perfect homage to the traditional horchata. I can’t wait for you to try it. I hope you love it as much as I do!!!”

Becky G revealed that many of the ingredients in her smoothie were sourced from Latine-owned companies. She also mentioned that a portion of proceeds will be donated to two nonprofit organizations: The Just Keep Livin’ Foundation, founded by Camila and Matthew McConaughey, and Justice for Migrant Women.

In an online video, Becky G is seen making one of her smoothies from scratch. She starts by swirling the inside of a plastic cup with a mix of coconut cream and caramel. She then blended rice milk, almond milk, coconut water, protein and collagen powder, cinnamon, bananas, dates, and ice.

Becky G topped off her smoothie with more coconut cream and a dash of cinnamon. “It smells so good,” she said once the smoothie was ready to drink. She even shared it with her family. Hey, Becky, we’ll take one to go.
