Gabriel ‘Fluffy’ Iglesias Launches New Tequila in 3 Flavors

Mexican-American comedian, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias knows how to entertain a room with his comedic sketches. Now, the stand-up comedian is extending his entertainment chops with the launch of his specialty Mexican tequila “Pocho Fino Tequila.”
The new Mexican-American tequila has a dual identity, crafted in Jalisco, Mexico, and bottled in the U.S. This dual identity that the brand refers to as “lived in the middle” is available in three variations: Blanco Tequila, Mexican Candy, and Grilled Pineapple.
The Blanco Tequila is a crystal clear tequila distilled with Blue Weber Agave, complete with an earthy pepper finish. The Mexican Candy tequila brings on the nostalgia, blending candied watermelon with lemon, and mild heat thanks to the jalapeno addition. And the Grilled Pineapple Tequila is a blend of sweet agave and char-grilled smoke, a flavor reminiscent of the “backyard carne asada,” as stated by the brand.
The bottles also include a sentimental tribute to Iglesias’ late chihuahuas, Risa and Vinny. His two beloved dogs are the logo ambassadors, appearing in every bottle alongside an agave plant, acting as guardians of the plant.
In addition to celebrating the launch of his new tequila brand, Iglesias also recently celebrated the inauguration into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with a star on Hollywood Blvd. to commemorate his contributions to comedy and entertainment.
For Iglesias, tequila is more than just a drink, it’s a vessel for celebration and tradition, rooted in the Mexican-American experience. “As a proud Mexican-American, I wanted to make a tequila that celebrates both my roots,” said Iglesias. “When creating Pocho Fino Tequila, it was important to me that the tequila is approachable, full of flavor and fancy enough for a fine glass, or casual enough to drink out of a plastic cup. That’s what makes it my kind of tequila.”
