Mexican Independence Day is around the corner, and here at the Remezcla offices we have already started celebrating all things Mexico Lindo y Querido. First and foremost: DRINKITY DRANKS. In 2010 Mexico beat out Holland to become the world’s top exporter of cervezas, and although we’re glad the globe shares our enthusiasm for chelas, we’d like to remind the citizens of the world that Mexico has much more to offer when it comes to poniéndote pedo. That’s why we’ve decided to do a roundup of some of the most amazing booze concoctions that have come out of Mexico. Check out our top five below!
Lime slice, 1/2 inch thick, for salting glass
Salt 2 ounces tequila blanco
1 ounce Cointreau
3/4 ounce fresh lime juice A glass filled with ice
1 1/2 ounces tequila blanco
4 ounces Mexican Squirt soda (or 1 ounce freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and 3 ounces lemon-lime soda) 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice (half a lime) A glass filled with ice
