Did you know Brazil has the best pizza in Latin America? On April 10, 50 Top Pizza crowned André Guidon’s Leggera Pizza Napoletana (Light Neapolitan Pizza) in São Paulo the best pizzeria in Latin America.
“Our happiness is immense to be able to share with you another great achievement. We are the Best Pizzeria in Latin America, according to @50toppizza!” the chef and pizzeria shared in Portuguese on their social media. “This award is a recognition of work spanning more than 10 years, involving research, technique and quality partners. Around here our mission (and pride!) ) is to offer the rounds with the best ingredients we have in the world. To all who accompany us, who cheer and celebrate, our BIG THANKS.”
According to 50 Top Pizza, an independent guide that ranks and evaluates pizzerias worldwide, the best pizza in Latin America is in Brazil. Guidon’s pizza is “inspired by his Italian family origins,” per the website’s evaluation. They note the menu consists of “harmonious white and red pizzas, balanced between the crust and excellent toppings, excellent calzones filled with soft ricotta, and inviting golden fried pizzas.”
Guidon’s pizzeria is only one of many top pizza spots in Latin America. The list’s runner-up went to Carola and Vittoria Santoro’s Ti Amo in Adrogué, Argentina (No. 2). It follows with Michele Puzio’s Allería in Providencia, Chile (No. 3); Sei Shiroma’s Ferro e Farinha in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (No. 4); and Matheus Ramos’ QT Pizza Bar in São Paulo, Brazil (No. 5).

The top 10’s latter half continues with Fellipe Zanuto and Murilo Dias’ A Pizza da Mooca in São Paulo, Brazil (tied with No. 5); Flama by Juan Carlos Romero, Daniel Vergara, and Daniel Ramirez (No. 6); and Naldo Silva’s Unica Pizzeria in São Paulo, Brazil (No. 7). More top pizzerias include Yoselin Maria Tavares’ Portarossa in Pampatar, Venezuela (No. 8); Juan Cárcamo’s La Clásica in San Salvador, El Salvador (No. 9); and Bibiana Souto and Carlos Guerra’s L’Incanto in Punta del Este, Uruguay (No. 10).
With this in mind, it sounds like a good time to visit Brazil if you’re a pizza lover! Read the full list via 50 Top Pizza’s official website.
