During a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (June 14) to promote his Showtime series City on a Hill, actor Kevin Bacon was surprised to learn that a restaurant in Argentina was using his name and likeness to sell hamburgers.

Kimmel shared the Instagram of the burger joint, Kevin Bacon Fast Good, with Bacon during their interview. The Instagram profile featured photos of massive burgers stacked with tons of beef patties and cheese (and we’re assuming bacon, too). The logo for Kevin Bacon Fast Good included a stamped photo of Bacon’s face.

“Wow, listen, I clearly didn’t have photo approval,” Bacon joked when he saw the profile. “That is not a good picture. Some kind of clown face.”

Bacon went on to tell Kimmel that he thinks there are other restaurants out there that don’t pay him to use his name or image. He confirmed with the late-night host that he was not affiliated with the eatery. Kimmel replied: “That’s when you know you’re famous – when you’re getting ripped off in Argentina.”

Bacon seemed to take it all in stride, although by the end of the segment, he told Kimmel, “I’ll be talking to my attorney tomorrow” with a smile. The mention of an attorney seemed to be enough to put an end to Kevin Bacon Fast Good. Argentine journalist Kevin Aiello later tweeted that the restaurant “changed the name and deleted any reference to the actor after he said that he was going to talk to his lawyer.”

The Instagram for Kevin Bacon Fast Good is no longer active. Restaurants worldwide are now worried about the future of their BLTs.
