The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has officially launched the preliminary schedule for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Fall-Winter 2025.

The fashion event of the year runs from Thursday, February 6 through Tuesday, February 11 across the big Apple. And NYFW will feature a strong selection of designers from our communities. OG veteran designers such as Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors, the return of cult faves such as Luar, and the debut of promising newcomers including LEBLANCSTUDIOS by Yamil Arbaje and Angelo Beato.

Here are six Latine designers that will be presenting runway collections at NYFW this February!

Friday, February 7

Campillo

Campillo is a Mexican label bringing traditional, cultural craftsmanship to the luxury market. Founded by Patricio Campillo, the brand refers to itself as a concept– born out of a mission to  use environmentally sustainable materials while recontextualizing Mexican traditions and textiles. Through his contemporary designs, Campillo blurs gender binaries and brings sustainability front and center.

LEBLANCSTUDIOS

Praised for being the first Dominican brand to successfully cultivate an authentic presence amongst the island’s youth— Yamil Arbaje and Angelo Beato are designing looks that support the community and offer a chance to “tap into the underbelly of the Carribeans past, present and future.” The label’s Summer 2024 NYFW collection, SALON DE BELLEZA, BRUTALLY HONEST was held in a Dominican Beauty Parlor in NYC.

Sunday, February 9

Monse

Founded by Laura Kim and Dominican designer Fernando Garcia, Monse draws inspiration from menswear and classic tailoring— with a twist. The collections offer a deconstructed take on classic silhouette, with twisted tailoring and cascading hemlines as a defining characteristic of the brand. Monse was most recently worn by former First Lady Michelle Obama and singer songwriter Nathy Peluso.

Elena Velez

From Milwaukee of Puerto Rican descent, Elena Velez challenges the fashion status quo through industrial, and haunting baroque designs. Raised along the Midwestern rust belt, Velez uses elements from her upbringing to produce garments and theatrical runway shows that shock, inspire, and above all, encourage critical commentary around institutional power, abuse, and influence.

Monday, February 10

Carolina Herrera

Venezuelan designer, Carolina Herrera, centers the classic and sophisticated woman, with roots in dressing First Ladies and gala couture in the 80’s. In 2018, Herrera appointed Wes Gordon as the brand’s creative director, giving the iconic brand a fresh perspective while preserving the designer’s visionary legacy.

LUAR

LUAR is Raul Lopez’ breakout fashion label following the success of Hood by Air. Lopez, who is of Dominican descent, describes the LUAR brand as the intersection between New York City and the Dominican Republic. In 2024, Lopez won a coveted CFDA award for American Accessories Designer of the year.
