If there’s one thing mainstream audiences pay attention to at awards shows, it’s the fashion statements celebrities make on the red carpet. There’s no avoiding the inevitable “Who are you wearing?” question from hosts or the morning-after list that reports the best-dressed attendees (and sometimes the worst). And that includes the 2023 Grammy Awards.

While there’s really no competing with the number of eccentric outfits you will see at an event like the annual Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, many people would probably say the Grammy Awards come in a close second for unusual ensembles as the biggest talents in the music industry come together for the night.

And while there were plenty of stand-out fashion choices at the event, here are 10 fashions statements from Sunday night’s (February 5) 65th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Cardi B

Cardi B won Grammy night with her sculptured couture gown designed by Indian dressmaker Gaurav Gupta. The dress actually debuted at Paris Fashion Week late last month before the superstar wore it to the awards show.

Jennifer Lopez

JLo wore a dark blue dress designed by Gucci with ruffles, rhinestone fringe, and a thigh-high slit. She accessorized with Bulgari jewelry and silver high heels.

Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny went simple with a black sports jacket and white shirt. He capped off his look with an actual baseball cap. His MLB team of choice: the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Miguel broke out the denim with a pair of jeans and a denim hoodie. He accessorized with a pair of shades, silver rings, and a silver chain hanging from his belt loops.

Anitta took to the Grammy Awards red carpet in an elegant and strapless black Versace dress with a sweetheart neckline and a corset. The skirt featured ruffles and a pleated hem.

Carlos Vives

The spotlights were catching glare off Carlos Vives’ outfit on Grammys night. Vives wore a shimmering sports coat with a black shirt underneath adorned with black beading. Black glasses with a dark tint completed the look.

Camila Cabello

The ensemble that singer and actress Camila Cabello wore included a pearl-beaded bra accented with a pair of white flowers. Cabello also wore a long black skirt with a thigh-high slit.

Fat Joe

Fat Joe went for an all-pink look at the Grammys, including a pink suit, pink shirt, pink-framed sunglasses, and a pair of pink Nikes.

Omar Apollo

One million bonus points to Omar Apollo who brought his mom to the Grammys. Apollo stood beside his beautiful mama wearing a black leather jacket, a striped blue and white shirt, and some jeans.

Lourdes Leon

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon, who she shares with Cuban actor Carlos Leon, wore a bright red gown with a cone-shaped bustier top to the Grammys. Some said it looked like she was paying homage to something her mother would’ve worn back in the 1990s.
