From Betty Boop to Snow White, Here Are Our Favorite Celebrity Costumes from Halloween 2023

If we’re going with the most popular pop culture costumes for Halloween this year, chances are we’ll see a lot of celebrities and fans dressed up like Weird Barbie and Wednesday Addams. We’re also anticipating a handful of couples stepping out as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce jersey. She put him on the map, you know.

While some Halloween costumes are easy to predict depending on what is trending these days, others are a lot more obscure. Here is a mix of both kinds worn by celebrities and other stars for Halloween 2023, from Betty Boop to Catwoman and more.

Camila Mendes

It looks like Camila Mendes had at least two Halloween parties to go to this year. She channeled actress Julie Newmar’s Catwoman from the 1960s TV series Batman in her first costume with Riverdale castmates Madelaine Petsch and Lili Reinhart. In her second, she paired up with her boyfriend to play Nintendo icons Mario and Luigi.

Megan Thee Stallion

The “Plan B” singer sprouted some leaves to play one of the anthropomorphic roses in the 2010 live-action version of Alice in Wonderland. Hopefully, Megan Thee Stallion’s costume doesn’t have too many thorns.

Anitta

The “Me Gusta” singer was a special guest at the Aviões Fantasy show in Fortaleza, Brazil, this past weekend where she took the stage as a sexy vampiress. We’re not sure if Anitta took a bite out of anyone that evening, but the glittery blood all over her black outfit might prove otherwise.

Keke Palmer

After starring in the thriller/horror film Nope, Keke Palmer might have found her new favorite genre. For Halloween this year, the actress and singer dressed up like The Bride of Frankenstein, a character first introduced on screen in the 1935 movie of the same name.

Demi Lovato

Is this a mix between Snow White and the Evil Queen? Part of Demi Lovato’s costume is reminiscent of the original one from the 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but she’s also included a black leather corset as part of her outfit.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner, the model and social media influencer, played it minimal to portray Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. Her costume includes a blonde wig, shiny earrings, and a black sweater that looks like the one Monroe wore for her photoshoot with Life magazine in 1953.

Victoria Justice

The actress and singer dressed up like Cher from her music video “Turn Back Time” from 1989. “[Cher] is truly an icon and forever one of my faves,” Victoria Justice wrote on Instagram. “Dressing up as her was the most fun. If I could turn back time, I’d do it all over again.”

Lizzo

Lizzo sparkled as music icon Tina Turner for Halloween this year. Her costume featured a black, leather dress with silver adornments that looked like tinsel. She even captured Turner’s hair perfectly!

Ice Spice

Ice Spice said goodbye to the red curls and hello to a pixie cut from the 1930s to pull off her look as the animated character known as Betty Boop. Although cartoons from that era were in black and white, Ice Spice’s short, red dress and heart-shaped garter belt gave the costume some contemporary flash.

Megan Fox

Megan Fox and her significant other, Machine Gun Kelly, dressed up as characters from the Japanese manga series and anime Death Note. Fox portrayed a female version of the main character, Light Yagami, while Kelly played the demon known as Ryuk.

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba showed up to the 2023 Casamigos Halloween party as Britney Spears from her “Toxic” music video. Her sparkling, nude bodysuit was a perfect match for her long, blonde wig.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton also made an appearance at the Casamigos Halloween party as a different version of Britney Spears from the same music video. For her look, Hilton dressed in a teal flight attendant outfit.

Barbie Ferreira

Barbie Ferreira could be cast in the next season of American Horror Story as a creepy nurse if she wanted. We’re not sure what kind of medical procedure she’s assisting with, but we definitely don’t want to be a patient in that hospital.

Rosalía

Rosalía went back to 2001 to channel Icelandic artist Björk from her appearance at the 73rd Academy Awards. Björk also wore the swan dress on the cover of her album Vespertine.
