Maluma Got No Love on the Met Gala Pink Carpet & People Noticed

At the Met Gala – aka fashion’s biggest night – celebrities interpreted the camp theme to varying degrees of success. As always, a select few went all out, while many criticized the men who merely showed up in suits, who were clearly not trying to camp it up.

For his first Met outing, Maluma wore a sparkly and patterned Moschino suit that was pretty on theme. (Maluma loves himself some flashy fashion, so this was perfectly in his wheelhouse.) Yet, he didn’t seem to capture too many photographers’ attention. As a matter of fact, when we looked him up on Getty, we found only a small selection of photos and barely any of the singer on his own. And people definitely noticed.

As others who put in a lot less effort than Maluma got more attention, people felt that the Colombian artist got cheated of his spotlight because gringos don’t recognize one of our biggest stars. Check out a few reactions (and jokes, obvs) below.
