Super Bowl LVIII was one of the most entertaining games in recent memory, and it wasn’t just because of pulse-pounding plays in overtime or Usher’s smooth halftime show. One of the reasons the game had a record-breaking 115 million viewers last year is because people love watching the commercials during the big game.

So, which ones caught our eye this year? Well, the ones featuring Latine talent, of course. Here are a few of those commercials, including trailers, you may have missed during your trip back to the kitchen for some more chips and salsa during Super Bowl LVIII.

1

Jennifer Lopez for Dunkin’

Jennifer Lopez didn’t seem very excited to see her husband, Ben Affleck, show up at the recording studio with his boy band, which included Tom Brady and Matt Damon. After an embarrassing performance, Lopez and Fat Joe looked shocked. Maybe Affleck should stick to acting.

2

Gina Torres for e.l.f. Cosmetics

Gina Torres stepped into the courtroom to defend herself from spending too much money on makeup. She was seemingly playing her character from the series Suits along with her costar Rick Hoffman. The case was being heard by Judge Judy on a fictional reality show called Judge Beauty.

3

Cardi B for NYX Makeup

Cardi B teased NYX’s products before the Super Bowl, but an uncut commercial was aired Sunday night. Turns out that Cardi B is a big fan of NYX’s Duck Plump gloss. Alongside some dancers dressed like ducks, Cardi B applied the lip gloss and said, “Feel the plumping power.”

4

Anthony Ramos & Brandon Perea in Twisters

A teaser for the disaster film Twisters premiered during the big game and directed moviegoers to the full trailer online. Latino actors Anthony Ramos (In the Heights) and Brandon Perea (Nope) play tornado chasers. Twisters is a sequel to the 1996 film Twister.

5

Jenna Ortega for Doritos

If you have a taste for Doritos Dinamita, stay away from the abuelas in the commercial starring Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) and Danny Ramirez (Top Gun: Maverick). The ad premiered earlier this month, but we’re sure Doritos sold a few bags of chips Sunday night with 100 million viewers.

6

Aubrey Plaza for Mountain Dew

The TV spot premiered prior to the Super Bowl, but you can’t have too much Aubrey Plaza. In this Mountain Dew spot, Plaza refers to herself as “America’s sweetheart” and tells everyone that she can “have a blast anytime, anywhere,” including at a kid’s birthday party or while riding on a dragon with Parks & Recreation costar Nick Offerman.

7

Lionel Messi for Michelob ULTRA

Lionel Messi’s Michelob Ultra commercial features the Argentine fútbol superstar playing a friendly game of fútbol on a beach with vacationers. All that running around probably made Messi really thirsty. Also, there’s a special appearance by Jason Sudeikis, who was definitely channeling a little Ted Lasso.

8

Ice Spice for Starry

Not only did we get to see Ice Spice hanging out at a club with Starry’s lemon and lime animated mascots, she was also hanging out with Taylor Swift inside a private suite at the Super Bowl watching Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce play. She’s won this Super Bowl.

9

Morena Baccarin in Deadpool & Wolverine

We’re not sure what’s going to happen when Deadpool and Wolverine start hopping between dimensions in this upcoming Marvel movie, but we know Brazilian actress Morena Baccarin is back as Deadpool’s fiancée, Vanessa Carlysle and the TVA is involved. The MCU multiverse will never be the same.
