And whether or not you are a believer, some will give you hope for the upcoming presidential election or inspire you to brush up on alien-themed movies. Here are what six fortune tellers predict will happen this year:
Antonio Vazquez, aka El Brujo Mayor, made some bold statements for 2016. He said that Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán won’t be returning to prison, because he will be killed once he is caught, according to El Nuevo Día.
Looking into Donald Trump’s future, El Brujo said that the wannabe politician won’t secure the Republican Party nomination, because of all his “missteps.” “He’s burning himself out, we don’t need to burn him,” he said.

At the end of 2015, Peruvian shamans gathered around the Christ of the Pacific statue in Lima for their annual ritual. They also got a close look at what’s in store for Donald Trump, and have said that the U.S. is going to combine forces to make sure Trump doesn’t win the nomination.
“And we’ve also seen that Donald Trump, who is not so favorable with his racist comments, his warmongering, his strong negativity. The U.S. will band strongly together so that he does not become the official candidate,” one of the shamans said.
They also said that the U.S. will see benefits after a new business relationship with Cuba, and that there will be peace between the two countries.
Marilú Viera said that it’s going to be a hard year. “This is a difficult year, where we will learn to work in the midst of crisis, to live in the midst of crisis,” she said, according to Diario Social RD. However, she did say it would be a good year for the arts in the DR, especially for Mozart La Para, Pavel Núñez, and Maridalia Hernández.
For 2016, Mhoni Vidente says that Javier “Chicharito” Hernández will get married and leave Bayer Leverkusen. She also said that Alejandro González Iñárritu will be adding two more Oscars to his collection for his latest movie, The Revenant. Plus, he’s supposed to be the reason Leonardo DiCaprio wins his first Oscar.
Rukmini predicts that Ricky Martin will be in a movie this year, and it will be a blockbuster. As for Jennifer Lopez, she will be marrying Casper Smart.
Walter Mercado says that Pope Francis will bring new changes to the Catholic Church, something that will make the church more accessible to people regardless of their culture, race, or gender, according to El Nuevo Día. Walter says that El Papa will also have serious health issues.
Mercado also sees a change in Trump’s future. “The ugly face of American racism that is presented through the racist and xenophobic Donald Trump will disappear,” he said.
And Walter says we will also find evidence of life on a different planet this year.
