“What makes 2026 so interesting is that all the outer planets are going to be in new signs,” Narayana Montúfar, astrologer and creator of The Luminous Year, told Remezcla. “That’s super rare, and I don’t think anybody has experienced that.”
According to Montúfar’s 2026 guide, these are the major outer planetary shifts. On January 20, Neptune is finally leaving spiritual and emotional Pisces, and enters actionable Aries. On February 13, Saturn is also leaving Pisces and entering Aries. On April 25, Uranus will enter the radical communicator Gemini. On June 30, Jupiter will move to passionate creative Leo.
“Everything is going to change. Every planet rules a part of each part of our lives. Everything is going to shift, everything is going to move. It’s really rare that it happens at the same time,” Montúfar told us.

2026 is a major year for Aries risings. Now is the time to figure out what’s working and what’s not working in their lives. It’s all about going back to basics. “It’s going to be a year of mastery, and [with] Saturn and Neptune [working] together—well, there’s some major new beginnings,” Montúfar said.
This is a very exciting year for you, Taurus risings. Say goodbye to the uncertainty surrounding your career. Expect success, but also remember to rest and gather your energy. “You’re going to get so many resources, visibility, [and] people wanting to work with you,” Montúfar said. Just don’t forget to take time off, you deserve it.
Expect so much clarity in your life this year, dear Gemini risings. You’ve had a period of deep confusion, especially on how to move forward in your career. Thankfully, that’s finally over. “[They will] know how to move forward, but also [they] can start moving forward authentically without being afraid that everything [they] do is not going to bring confusion,” she said.
For Cancer risings, you have a bit of a mixed bag. You might continue healing situations around ancestry and family, especially with mothers and mother figures. But, there are also new romantic opportunities this year (meeting someone or getting engaged). “There’s still growth,” Montúfar said. “There’s a lot of growth happening there.”
Leos love drama, but they’ve been hating the chaotic turn their careers have had in the past eight years. That ends in 2026. “It’s not going to be like, “What is my crazy boss going to do now? Who’s going to get fired?’” she said. Then, during the summer, expect expansion on what is meant for you and shedding what is no longer for you.
You all have been in your transformation and letting go of control era, dear Virgo risings. Unfortunately, you still have a bit more of that left during the first half of the year. “Afterwards, they’ll get more clarity. There won’t be so many endings,” Montúfar told us. “And that begins a really spiritual time.” Allow yourselves the spiritual awakening that’s coming.
The first six months are excellent for Libra risings’ careers, expect more visibility and clarity on their life purpose. Then, for the year’s second half, expect shakeups in partnerships—and learning to be alone. “This conjunction of Saturn and Neptune is happening right on 0 degrees, it’s like there’s a radical shift in how they partner,” she said.
Scorpio risings have been going through it during 2025, with multiple endings in friendships, romance, and businesses. Thankfully, that ends in April when Pluto travels through the fourth house, and there’s a chance for shadow work. “[It’s] all about self-study of the ancestry, the family dynamics, [and] deconditioning parents and family dynamics,” she said.
Another mix bag for Sagittarius risings. They’ve been going through intense struggles with family dynamics, which thankfully, ends in the spring. Then, it’s all expansion and connection. “Pluto [urges you to] express yourself, do the thing, write the book, launch a podcast,” Montúfar told us. Finally, Uranus goes to the seventh house, which is going to enlighten them.
Capricorn risings need to let go of their plan during 2026. You should expect the unexpected. “They are used to things going how they plan. That’s not going to happen anymore. It’s not going to happen for them for a long time. That’s the reality of the situation,” she told us. Neptune in the fourth house will force you to find compassion for your family. Also, expect more nostalgia.
Aquarius risings have already been going through a huge transformation, and during 2026, they’ll receive a lot of help and support from others. [They’ll receive] a lot of resources for them to come into their own power. It’s almost like, ‘oh, I can see that there’s some more powerful version of you starting to bubble up. Let me help you with that,’” Montúfar said.
Dear Pisces risings, this year is a true liberation for you. You’ll be able to finally take a deep breath in peace. Saturn and Neptune have been in your first house of identity for so long now, and finally, in 2026, it ends. “I would throw a party if I was a Pisces rising,” she told us. “The beginning of the year is really massive because it all comes off finally.” Then, in the summer, the North Node moves to Pisces, which means a lot of things are happening for them.
