Spoiler alert: The following article contains major plot details about the series finale of Mayans M.C., which aired on July 19.
After five seasons, Mayans M.C. has ended with a bang. Several of them, actually. The 2-hour series finale aired Wednesday night (July 19), and the handful of shocking events that took place during the episode brought all the emotions out.
Most of those emotions came from the deaths of two of the main characters – EZ Reyes (JD Pardo) and Miguel Galindo (Danny Pino). Fans had plenty of theories about how their stories were going to end, but we doubt many knew exactly how everything would play out before the credits rolled.

Mayans kill EZ
EZ is ambushed by his own club who accuse him of being a rat. Bishop (Michael Irby), Hank (Frankie Loyal), Gilly (Vincent Vargas), Guero (Andrew Jacobs), and Nestor (Gino Vento) take turns stabbing him in the torso and his death comes slow and painful. The first person to put the knife into EZ is Angel (Clayton Cardenas) who only stabs him because Bishop is holding a gun to his head.

Emily kills Miguel
Emily (Sarah Bolger) has her husband’s death planned out and executes it flawlessly. She tricks Miguel to go back to their car to get their son’s stuffed animal and then shoots him twice in the chest with Luis’ (Michael Anthony Perez) gun. She also kills Luis and whispers, “I know you killed my sister,” before she pulls the trigger.

EZ kills Isaac
EZ puts a bullet in Isaac’s head in an alley after a foot chase, a fist fight and watching EZ throw him down a flight of stairs. Isaac tries to crawl away but EZ catches up and watches him beg. “Wait, this can’t be it,” Isaac says before EZ ends his life.

Cielo kills Downer
Fans were shocked when Cielo (Mia Danelle) stabbed Downer multiple times in the chest while they both sat in his vehicle. It looked like Downer was going to help her, but Cielo wasn’t about to wait and find out.

Bottles kills Sofia
As soon as EZ takes his last breath, the scene cuts to Sofia waiting in her trailer. When the door opens, Sofia smiles thinking it’s EZ. Instead, it’s Bottles with a semi-automatic. Audiences hear the rifle go off three times. They’re sad Sofia has died but fans online seem happy that her dog Sally was spared.
