The Bad Bunny Residency “Yo no me quiero ir de aquí” in Puerto Rico is just around the corner, with the first show starting July 11, 2025. Although the July shows are for Puerto Rico residents only, it then opens to tourists for August and September. So whether you’re a local looking to vibe with the crowd or a visitor hoping to experience la verdadera rumba boricua, here are some of the must-visit nightlife spots in Puerto Rico during El Conejo Malo’s takeover.

1

La Esquina Watusi

A legendary dive bar (chinchorro) tucked into the art scene of Santurce, San Juan, with arts and murals surrounding the location. It offers one of the most authentic Puerto Rican nightlife experiences around town. It’s the perfect place to enjoy affordable drinks and cold beers without the need to dress up. With its laid-back vibe, it makes visitors feel like they are at a friend’s backyard.

2

La Penúltima

If you’re looking for a slightly more elevated, yet still casual bar, we recommend Bar La Penúltima. It’s a stylish, industrial-chic cocktail bar that feels classy yet cozy. Also located in the creative heart of Santurce, it’s the perfect evening hangout spot to meet your friends before or after Bad Bunny’s show.

3

Ámbar

Located on the famous Calle Cerra, Ámbar is the laid-back yet polished wine bar you and your friends might want to visit if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of San Juan for a bit. The space offers a chic yet approachable vibe that feels exclusive without pretension. Ámbar also serves tapas-style dishes, perfect for pairing with a glass of wine.

4

Identidad Cocktail Bar

A bar with an award? Say less! Identidad earned the James Beard Award for Best New Bar just months after opening in 2024. So you already know its creativity, quality, and service are top notch. Located just steps from other hot spots in Santurce, this is the bar to go to for specialty craft cocktails infused with local ingredients, traditions, and personality.

5

La Disquera

This is a hidden gem on Calle Cerra. La Disquera is a chill and vibey vinyl-playing lounge. With dim lights and a disco ball, you know the grooviness is present. It’s the perfect spot to experience San Juan’s energy with a global sound. If you’re a music insider, Japanese food lover, or craft cocktail drinker, this is the spot to check out.

6

La Factoría

Now if we’re talking about iconic bars and nightlife, we have to mention La Factoría. It’s so popular it was even featured in the music video for “Despacito.” Tucked in a corner of Old San Juan, this hidden speakeasy is full of rooms, each with its own theme, music, décor, and drink experience. One moment you’re in the rustic open air, and the next you’re discovering a salsa-packed dance room. Featured in The World’s 50 Best Bars repeatedly, this is the perfect nighttime experience to grab a drink and dance the night away.

Fifty Eight

If you’re looking for an elite nightclub experience, look no further than Fifty Eight. A club where Bad Bunny himself has thrown after parties. The stylish, oceanfront nightclub, located inside the iconic La Concha Renaissance Resort in Condado, plays a fusion of house, EDM, and reggaetón that keeps the energy high from open to close. The crowd skews upscale celebrities, entrepreneurs, and nightlife enthusiasts with a strict dress code of no shorts, tanks, or flip-flops and a 21+ age requirement.
