Happy National Tequila Day! We may be halfway through the summer, but the celebration continues with one of the most popular spirits. Whether you like it on the rocks (no pun intended with one of the cocktails listed below) as a yummy cocktail or the fun way of SHOTS. Tequila is versatile and can be made however you want, and for those 21 and over drinking responsibly, this list is the one for you.
We already know where tequila comes from and thank Mexico lindo for that always, and because of the production and hard work that’s put into the creation, we appreciate it more with every sip we take of our favorite cocktail. THE ASTRAL MIDNIGHT MARGARITA

How could we forget the iconic “Midnight Margaritas” scene from Practical Magic? The cocktail ritual that was whipped up by the Owens women in the 1998 classic film is now returning for a new generation of fans, and with Astral Tequila as the official tequila partner of Warner Bros. Pictures’ highly anticipated Practical Magic 2, a new cocktail has come about to enjoy from now until the September release of the sequel. The Astral Midnight Margarita, which is a spellbinding elixir that pairs the film’s iconic ‘lime-in-the-coconut’ combination with Astral Tequila Blanco.
- Ingredients:
- 1.5oz Astral Tequila Blanco
- 1oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1.5oz Cream of Coconut
- 0.75-1 cup Ice
- Garnish:
- Lime Wheel
- Coconut Lime Salt
- 2 tbsp Flaky Sea Salt
- 1 tbsp Finely Grated Dried Lime Zest
- Spread fresh zest on parchment and let air-dry overnight (or low oven at 200°F for 10-15 minutes) until fully dry.
- 1 tbsp Unsweetened Coconut Flakes, Lightly Toasted
- Lightly toast until just golden and fragrant. Once cool, roughly chop so size integrates with the salt.
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- Preparation:
- Rim glass with lime and dip in coconut lime salt.
- Add all ingredients to a blender with ice.
- Blend until smooth and thick.
- Pour into glass and garnish with a lime wheel.

With the nonprofit Isla Urbana, PATRÓN will fund the installation of 200 rainwater harvesting systems across communities in Jalisco. With that collab, LA PATRONA Margarita has come about, which is a signature cocktail inspired by Becky G’s latest single, “PATRONA”

- ¼ oz. Dry Vermouth

- Mexican Lager
- Method:
- Muddle jalapeño in shaker tin.
- Add all other ingredients except beer.
- Shake with ice gently to combined ingredients.
- Fine strain into a pilsner glass rimmed with salt and filled with ice.
- Top with lager, stir, and garnish with a slice of jalapeño.
Dragones Rosa

- 2 oz Centenario Plata
- 1 Strawberry, chopped
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- Soda Water or Sparkling Water, to top
- Tajín or Chili Salt for rim
- Lemon Wedge for rim & garnish
- Strawberry for garnish
- Method:
- Rim a glass with lemon, then coat with Tajín or chili salt.
- Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, add chopped strawberry and
muddle until juicy. - Add Centenario Plata, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and ice.
- Shake until well chilled.
- Strain into the prepared glass and top with soda
water or sparkling water. - Garnish with a lemon wedge and strawberry.
Palomada o Nada

Of course the word nada doesn’t fit into our vocabulary during National Tequila Day, but we make an exception for Centenario Tequila’s Palomada o Nada.

- Ingredients:
- 2 oz Centenario Tequila Reposado
- 1 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 oz Filtered Water
- Garnish: 1 Grapefruit Slice, Chill Salt Rimmed Glass
- Method:
- Rim a 12 oz highball glass with chili salt.
- Add Centenario Tequila Reposado, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup to shaker with ice.
- Shake and strain into your glass with fresh ice.
- Top with water and a grapefruit slice.
Flecha Azul Peach Hot Honey Margarita

A cocktail that’s sweet with a kick, Flecha Azul Peach Hot Honey Margarita is that and more. Flecha Azul is additive-free and crafted with just three simple ingredients to make a clean, elevated tequila that lets the agave truly shine.
Peach Hot Honey Margarita
- Ingredients:
- 2 oz Flecha Azul Blanco Tequila
- 1 oz Triple Sec
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- 1 oz Hot Honey Peach Puree
- 2 peaches chopped
- 3 Tbsp hot honey
- 1 Tbsp Agave syrup
- 2 Tbsp water
- Instructions:
- Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
- Shake with ice.
- Double strain into an ice-filled cocktail glass.
- For hot honey peach puree add ingredients to a small pot.
- Bring to a boil and let simmer over a medium low heat until soft, about 15-20 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Transfer to a blender and blend until pureed.
- Store in the refrigerator until needed.
Tahona Cherry Spritz

It’s spritz season, and just because you’re a tequila drinker doesn’t mean you have to miss out, because Dobel Tequila has you covered with the Tahona Cherry Spritz.

- Ingredients:
- 2 oz Dobel Tahona Organic Tequila
- 0.75 oz Lime Juice
- 0.50 oz Simple Syrup
- 0.50 oz Aperol Aperitivo
- 0.25 oz Maraschino Liqueur
- Soda Water
- Garnish:
- Orange Slice
- Glassware:
- Highball/Collins Glass or Wine Glass
- Directions:
- Add all ingredients but soda water to a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake briefly, and strain into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice
- Top with soda water and garnish with an orange slice
Tegroni

Made with Leyenda 1925, the Tegroni puts a twist on the classic cocktail the Negroni, made with a luxury, clean tequila rooted in more than a century of family tradition in Los Altos de Jalisco, México.

- Ingredients:
- 2 oz Leyenda 1925 Añejo
- 1 oz Campari
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- Orange Slice
- Directions:
- Add 2 oz Leyenda 1925 Añejo, 1 oz Campari, and 1 oz sweet vermouth into a mixing glass.
- Fill with ice and stir until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- Garnish with an orange slice or expressed peel.
Leyenda Martini

You don’t have to drink vodka to enjoy this bright and elegant twist on the classic martini. Leyenda 1925’s Blanco tequila, mixed with the citrus sophistication of Mandarine Napoléon and orange bitters, adds subtle complexity and gives a crisp, aromatic, and refined taste.

- 2 oz Leyenda 1925 Blanco
- ¾ oz Mandarino Napoleon Liquor
- 2 Dash Orange Bitters
- Add orange peel or frozen green grape
- Directions:
- Add 2 oz Leyenda 1925 Blanco, ¾ oz Mandarine Napoléon liqueur, and 2 dashes orange bitters into a mixing glass.
- Fill with ice and stir until chilled and balanced.
- Strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass.
- Garnish with an expressed orange peel or a frozen green grape for a crisp finish.
Mi CAMPO Paloma

Mi CAMPO Tequila is available in Blanco & Reposado and brings a fresh, modern take on tequila. Meant to be sipped neat or mixed up in vibrant summer cocktails like the Mi CAMPO Paloma.

- Ingredients:
- 2 oz Mi Campo Reposado Tequila
- 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- ½ oz fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 oz club soda
- Salt or Tajín for the rim
- Grapefruit wedge for garnish
- Instructions:
- Rim a Collins glass with salt or Tajín.
- Dry shake the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and sugar without ice to dissolve the sugar.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake again until cold.
- Strain into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice and top with club soda.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
Noble Rita

The Noble Rita made with Casa Noble an organic tequila made from 100% Blue Weber agave, known for its exceptionally smooth, complex flavor that’s perfect to enjoy in cocktails or on its own.

- Ingredients:
- 2 oz Casa Noble Blanco Tequila
- 1 oz agave nectar
- 1 oz lime juice
- Lime wedge
Preparation: - Place ingredients, except lime wedge, into a shaker with ice.
- Shake until chilled.

Calling añejo fans because Casa Noble Añejo has your name written all over it. While other añejo tequilas are aged for 1 year in new French oak barrels, this one is aged for 2 years. The patience of waiting an extra year produces a beautiful sipping tequila that is both complex and delicious.

Everything flavored is always a great idea, and Fever-Tree’s Strawberry Paloma is no exception to the rule. Fever-Tree is designed to elevate classic tequila-based cocktails with simple and refreshing recipes.

- Ingredients:
- 4 oz Fever-Tree Margarita Mix
- 1.5 ox Mezcal, infused with jalapeños and cilantro
- 1.5 tsp Agave
- Ice, lots
- Fresh jalapeños, handful
- Cilantro, handful
- Steps:
- Fill a shaker or container with plenty of ice, add the infused Mezcal and agave.
- Add the Margarita Mix, seal and shake for 15 seconds.
- Strain into a tumbler glass over ice, add jalapeños and cilantro to garnish.
- Top tip: Add a Tajin rim to your glass for an extra dash of flavor!
