Last night Rancho Humilde, the record label leading the corridos tumbados movement, hosted one of the first largest concerts during the time of the Coronavirus (or COVID-19) pandemic. Rising Mexican-American acts like Fuerza Regida, Adriel Favela, and Mexican superstar Natanael Cano took over Chicago’s SeatGeek Stadium.

Chicago was the first stop on Rancho Humilde’s S.M.O. Tour that is highlighting the biggest and up-and-coming acts on their roster. In a lead-up to the show, the L.A. based label posted a video on Instagram showing the floor of SeatGeek Stadium with socially-distanced booths for the fans. The event flyer also promised that “masks and hand sanitizer will be provided.”

“Snoop Dogg Presents” was also listed on the flyer for the Chicago show, showing that the Long Beach rap legend is throwing his weight behind Rancho Humilde’s corridos tumbados. Other acts on the label that performed last night included Legado 7, Herencia de Patrones, Junior H, Arsenal Efectivo, Estaban Gabriel, and Ovi. The next shows of the tour are line-up for Midland, Texas on Sept. 18 and Piedmont, Okla. on Sept. 19.

Here’s five of our favorite moments from last night’s show in Chicago.

Natanael Cano – "Amor Tumbado"

Fresh off his recent news of becoming the first Mexican and regional Mexican music artist to join Apple Music’s Up Next program, Cano performed his hits at the show, including his recent smash “Amor Tumbado.” His performance comes on the heels of the release of his new album Soy El Nata.

Fuerza Regida – "Adicto"

Alongside Cano, another one of Rancho Humilde’s biggest acts is Fuerza Regida. Singer Jésus led the group through their hits, including the soaring “Adicto.”

Adriel Favela – "Así Toco Mi Vida"

Adriel Favela is another singer bringing up the Rancho Humilde banner with his success. Cano brought him up during the show to perform their duet “Así Toco Mi Vida.”

Junior H – "Mente Positiva"

Coming up behind Cano and Favela, Junior H is one of the most promising new artists on Rancho Humilde. He recently dropped his new album Cruisin’ with Junior H and he kept things upbeat last night with his hit “Mente Positiva.”

Herencia de Patrones – "Cosas de la Clika"

Like Fuerza Regida, Herencia de Patrones is a Mexican band hitting it big on behalf of Rancho Humilde. Among the hits, the group performed their squad anthem “Cosas de la Clika.”
