"Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
2 get through this thing called Life…"
-Prince— Lin-Manuel Miranda (@Lin_Manuel) April 21, 2016
There are few artists whose life and legacy produce a global outpouring of grief like Prince. Today, the iconic pop star died at the age of 57, after struggling with flu-like symptoms over the past few weeks. We’ll remember him for his baroque sense of style, his inimitable mastery of psychedelic rock and funk, and his powerful, ever-jubilant spirit. Prince touched the lives of countless Latino creatives, and his influence transcends the music community, reaching into the worlds of fashion and art. He worked with dozens of Latinos, including the famed drummer Sheila E., ex-wife and former bandleader Mayte Garcia, and vocalist Bria Valente. Here’s how the Latino community is grieving the loss of a music legend.
Long live the king.

Chingao. Murió Prince. Parece que cada día amanecer contento dura menos. Que el espíritu rompa las reglas. Pa seguir contentos y a darle.

"Artist" & "Genius" are thrown around carelessly these days. Prince Rogers Nelson was an actual artist & a legit genius. I'm so sad#RIP
