Latin America will be strongly represented at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and just like in 2022 there is enough on this list to even hope for another Latin American winner.

South American giants Argentina and Brazil return as serious contenders, joined by a rising Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay after navigating the grueling CONMEBOL qualifiers. In North and Central America, co-host Mexico is joined by regional climbers Panama and Haiti, both earning historic spots through CONCACAF qualifying, adding fresh storylines and fanbases. Bolivia has not yet secured its ticket but will get a final chance in the inter-confederation play-offs if they win the match against Suriname on March 26, 2026 and then against Iraq on March 31, 2026.

From defending champions’ pressure on Argentina to the pride of debutants like Haiti and the possibility of Bolivia snatching a late berth on North American soil, the presence of these Latin American teams guarantee intense atmospheres, technical quality, and emotional narratives. Until then, we have the final draw to decide who plays against who on Friday, December 5th, with the top-ranked countries placed in opposite halves of the knockout bracket. You can watch the draw on FOX, Peacock, and Telemundo. Or you can stream it on FIFA.com.

Here are all the Latin American teams that will play at the 2026 FIFA World Cup:

1

Argentina

The reigning champions were the first CONMEBOL team to secure its spot at the World Cup even before their final match during to a 0-0 draw between Bolivia and Uruguay. They’ve won the FIFA World Cup 3 times.

2

Brazil

The five-time world champion, Brazil, secured its place after defeating Paraguay 1–0 back in June, maintaining its record of having qualified to every single World Cup edition.
