We have an update for all the fans out there planning on seeing the Brazilian sensation this weekend in the desert. Anitta’s Coachella slot has been changed from Saturday to Friday. The “Envolver” singer was originally scheduled to play on the festival’s Saturday slots but will now be playing the Friday shows on April 15 and 22.

While there has been no official announcement as to why the change has happened, both Coachella and Anitta shared the announcement on social media. Anitta took to Twitter to announce the change, encouraging fans that they’ll still have an incredible show to look for.

Whether she’s playing Friday or Saturday, fans are still looking forward to seeing the hitmaker live on stage finally.

Anitta is one of many Latine performers featured on this year’s Coachella lineup. Karol G, Nicki Nicole, Nathy Peluso, Omar Apollo, Jessie Reyez, to name a few, are all slated to perform at the festival in Indo, California. Grupo Firme, Cano, and Banda MS will also play at the festival, making history as the first time three regional Mexican Acts play the same Coachella weekend.

Anitta’s Coachella slot marks another achievement in the star’s historic year. Last week, her song “Envolver” became the highest-charting Hot 100 single by a Brazilian soloist in the past century, an achievement that almost sounds fake. Moreover, the singer also revealed the name of her upcoming fifth studio album, Versions of Me, last week. The album will feature collaborations with Saweetie, Afro B, Khalid, Ty Dolla Sign, Chencho, and Mr Catra, showing that the Brazilian star is indisputably versatile and never fails to make an exciting body of work.
