Ever since he burst onto the scene with 2016’s “Diles,” sporting a head full of wacky graphics, Bad Bunny has showed us he’s capable of taking the Latin trap movement to another level. Whether he’s pushing his pounding baritone over a Valentine’s Day balada, recording reggaeton tracks with Enrique Iglesias, or hanging out with Drake, Benito Ocasio’s versatility has always been clear.

Now, with a new Apple Music co-sign, it’s likely the Puerto Rican trapero’s global vision will keep coming to life. After premiering a gloomy new single on Beats 1 today, the streaming giant announced he will take the reins as their latest Up Next artist. As part of the program, Apple Music creates short documentaries about the chosen artist’s life (both R&B singer Sabrina Claudio and drag queen Pabllo Vittar have participated in the initiative in the past). We’re likely to learn more about the Vega Baja-born trapero’s musical education and journey in the trap movement soon. With three hits on the Billboard Hot 100, expect Bad Bunny to continue bringing his quiet rebellions to the mainstream.

Stream his new single “Dime Si Te Acuerdas” below, and watch a preview of his upcoming Up Next documentary, debuting on March 9.
