After releasing the music video for “PIToRRO DE COCO,” Bad Bunny is giving us the visuals for his new salsa banger. On Jan. 9, the Puerto Rican artist released his video for “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” a salsa-forward song that forms part of his new album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
“The video of ‘Baile inolvidable’ is out now,” the emblematic singer wrote in Spanish on Instagram stories with a selfie. “Go watch it 🙂 THANKS.”
The new music video starts with the album’s rollout star and influential Puerto Rican filmmaker Jacobo Morales signing up for a salsa dance class. Morales joins the dancers – but then is portrayed as Bad Bunny, seemingly Morales when he was young. Benito is then seen learning how to dance salsa. Eventually, he gains confidence and gets down dancing salsa with a woman.
Other frames show him in a light blue suit dancing and performing the song with a full salsa band. The same woman dances beside him and with him in a shiny gold dress. The ending frame shows Benito back as Morales, smiling and seemingly reminiscing about the past moments we just saw in the new music video.
The internet is already conversing about the song’s message. A YouTube user, @jairluna8664, wrote: “Lots of feelings, lots of nostalgia, you only love once and you never forget that love.” Another YouTube user, @rooswelgallo4980, echoed the same sentiment: “‘BAILE INoLVVIDABLE’ captures the essence of those unique moments that mark life. It is a journey of emotions wrapped in warm rhythms, where love and nostalgia are found in every note.”
“BAILE INoLVIDABLE” was recorded with the help of Puerto Rican producer Big Jay. The album’s press release also revealed that salsa songs like “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and “LA MuDANZA” were recorded in collaboration with young musicians from the Escuela Libre de Música. Moreover, “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” was recently Apple Music’s No. 1 song worldwide.
