It’s official: Bad Bunny is confirmed to headline the 2026 Super Bowl LX Halftime Show at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 8, 2026.

Ahead of the announcement, Bad Bunny posted a tweet saying, “I’ve been thinking about it these days and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States.”

The tweet seems to reference his earlier comments about performing in the U.S. In an i-D interview, he revealed that he skipped U.S. tour stops out of concern over potential ICE raids near venues.

This announcement follows his record-setting concert residency in Puerto Rico earlier in 2025, titled No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí, which ran from July 11 to September 20. The residency expanded to 31 dates with one streamed globally on September 20 to coincide with the anniversary of Hurricane María.

And this won’t be Bad Bunny’s first time on the Super Bowl halftime stage. He made a cameo appearance during the Shakira & Jennifer Lopez halftime show in 2020, joining them onstage as a guest.

Now, he arrives not as a supporting act, but as the main attraction. The move marks a notable milestone: he is widely reported to be the first solo Latino male artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show. (Thus far, Super Bowls have featured Latinas like JLo and Shakira and Latin guest spots, but never a solo male Latin headliner.)

As the big day approaches, fans and observers are sure to wonder: will Bad Bunny bring out surprise guests? Might he call on other Latine stars, collaborators, or local acts to join him on that stage? The possibilities are wide open, and the anticipation is building for not just the performance itself, but what kind of moment he’ll create.
